Prototype Roadmap

Move an LED concept through four evidence gates

Gate 01

Frame the hypothesis

Define the viewing distance, target luminance, content type, camera shutter range, thermal boundary and failure condition before selecting a prototype.

Gate 02

Bench the module

Warm the module to a stable state, measure white and low-gray fields by zone, inspect scan behavior and record the controller configuration.

Gate 03

Validate the canvas

Build the intended cabinet geometry, map native resolution, test source switching and review seams from the nearest and typical sightlines.

Gate 04

Release the baseline

Archive measurement conditions, approved image fields, camera settings, recovery steps and configuration files with the signed project record.

Optical response

Record calibrated white luminance and stepped dark fields after warm-up. Compare multiple screen zones instead of relying on a single center reading.

refresh + shutter phase

Camera behavior

Test the intended frame rate, shutter angle or shutter speed, lens distance and viewing angle. A nominal refresh figure alone does not predict captured artifacts.

primary + backup path

Recovery logic

Interrupt each defined signal or power path in a controlled sequence, time the observed recovery and restore the approved configuration from its archived copy.
